ORF promotes efforts that are locally grown and grounded in economic equity, in which technology, innovation and compelling storytelling yield transformative solutions for our most marginalized community members. We use three main approaches to build a eco-system of social impact:

DISCOVER

We work at the forefront of innovation, developing and experimenting with solutions that reflect how people actually make decisions and take action. And we’re applying what we discover to help organizations and institutions enhance the impact of their policies, programs, products, and services.

SCALE

We’re committed not only to identifying promising solutions to tough problems, but also scaling them to impact as many lives as possible. We approach all our work with an eye toward scaling, and also have created initiatives such as a venture studio and policy lab, to ensure as broad an impact as possible.

STRENGTHEN

We help leaders, policymakers, and practitioners apply evidence-based behavioural insights to meet their goals by creating in-person and online learning formats, from executive seminars to multi-day master classes, and providing tools to help practitioners build capacity, apply our innovation approach, and evaluate its impact.

The Alumni Leadership Incubator is a step towards creating change leaders who can drive systemic transformation in the ecosystem of impact and sustainability. ORF helps early stage social ventures by leveraging the experience and expertise to scale up to deliver sustained impact through funding, handholding, networking and growing

ORF’S ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME

Odisha Rising Entrepreneur accelerator programs are specifically designed to help social entrepreneurs create and grow sustainable for-purpose businesses. Whether you’re in ideation phase or already in operation, a pit stop at a social enterprise accelerator is a great way to fast track your progress.

In general, these programs offer a combination of access to experienced entrepreneurs and mentors, business model refinement, start-up capital, and the opportunity to pitch to potential investors.

ORF’S FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

Odisha Rising Fellowship is an immersive, 6-month volunteer service program matching young professionals with development organizations worldwide. Fellows work on scalable and sustainable development projects in the fields of Education, Employment, Emergency, Environment and Empowerment.

The Odisha Rising Fellowship helps shaping the next generation of leaders committed to positive change while also strengthening civil society in the state and outside.

ORF believes in creating local impact leaders so that the opportunity may be accessible and reachable to the poorest of the poor in the state.

It provides each impact leaders under its – Odisha Rising Fellowship with the most contemporary and progressive leadership techniques, skills & methods to enable them to lead for the agenda, both at the Fellowship event and afterwards.

Sagar has studied Corporate Social Responsibility from HCL Academy, Public Health Crisis from The John Hopkins University through Coursera, Sustainability in Indian Context from Azim Premji University, NGO Management from CII-CISM, The Meridian – A Leadership Course by Common Purpose, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application and a Commerce graduate. A social entrepreneur by nature, loves social adventure which he started during his young days as a volunteer and continuing the journey thus far. He is determine to make social equity and equality – accessible to the poorest of the poor.

He shares his expertise with grassroots NGOs across India as an Impact & Fundraising Consultant and as a Sustainability Policy Advisor. He sits in the Board of reputed organisations namely -Climate Change A Reality Foundation (CCARF), Kalinga Innovation Foundation & Operation Sahay Foundation(OSF). He is an active volunteer and have travelled extensively in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific to create a community of innovators and strengthen social entrepreneurs to make this planet a better place for all.
